The Contributors
Stephen W. Henneberry is a Professor of English at the University of Shimane in western Japan. He has lived and worked in Japan since 1998, and has spent most of that time exploring different ways to use technology to make language learning more interesting and efficient. He is an unapologetic Moodle Evangelist, and to date has assisted in getting the program set up at two universities in Japan. He has also maintained his own Moodle-based learning sites since 2003.
In 2011, he gave a number of conference presentations on iPads as Teacher Tools, both in Japan and Korea, and has recently started a new blog at iPads4Teachers.com in order to focus on the use of iPads in the classroom. Along with his experience using iPads as teacher tools since the release of the original iPad, he now manages the iPad Classroom project at the University of Shimane. The program is an implementation of 30 iPads for classroom use and self-access in the university Media Center.
